Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County) 2001*

A pleasant but unremarkable Cabernet in a commercial style. Jammy dark fruits, cherries, spices, and herbs. There is a odd impression of sweetness on the finish, coupled with strong mouth-puckering tannins (like drinking a cup of oversteeped tea). Better with food than on its own. Grade: B-
