Heitz Cellar Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley ) 1990

Wow. A truly spectacular example of mature Napa Cabernet. A deep purple ruby color and strong legs suggest a much younger wine. The intense bouquet filled the dining room with enticing aromas. On the palate, the wine is mature but fruity, perfectly balanced (only 13.5% alcohol), with a long finish. Leather, cedar, currants, chocolate, mint. Exceptional. This was bottle # 2344 (out of 29,544). Grade: A/A+
