Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County) 2002*

I lasted tasted this wine in 10/2006, when I gave it a B-. Tonight's bottle was more impressive. Jammy cherry, berry, and cocoa flavors with chalky tannins. More fruit than I recall the last bottle offering. Very attractive at this price point ($19). The wine can't have evolved that much in a couple of months, so it's either bottle variation or perhaps I'm in a better mood tonight. Anyway, giving it bonus points for being a drinkable California Cab at under $20, which is an increasingly rare phenomenon, I'll give it -- Grade: B+

why do you say “price point”.  it means the same as “price”.  it’s like saying “at this point in time” - as though somebody would think you meant “this point in space” if not clarified. needless jargon or am i missing something? (admittedly that is entirely possible)
