Robert Mondavi Stag’s Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) 1998

Way past it. Massive volatile acidity, with a whiff of aldehyde. Undrinkable. Grade: E

So much for my run of good luck with the 1998 vintage. This wine’s gone down hill rapidly since last sampled in 10/2005. So maybe 1998 is as bad as people say. Unfortunately, I’ve still got about 10 1998s sitting in my cellar. Gulp!
