Pine Ridge Charmstone (Napa Valley) 2003

An interesting proprietary red blend, probably dominated Merlot with other Bordeaux varieties in the mix. Smooth and soft tannins make it easy to drink now, but suggest that extended cellaring would not be advisable. Rich cherry, plum, and floral flavors and aromas. I liked it better than the 2002, although I'm giving it the same grade. (This one's maybe an 86, the 2002 was maybe an 83.) Grade: B
