Year in and year out, Conundrum is one of my favorite white wines. In 2004, I detect significant amounts of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat Canelli in the blend. The key flavor associations are pineapple, green apple, apricot, a touch of SB grass, and that floral element that says Muscat Canelli. I wonder if they included a bit of Riesling this year, as there are some very Riesling-like aromas? Perhaps a tad pricey at $30+/bottle, but nevertheless recommended. (BTW, it was a perfect match for tonight's grilled pork chops and pineapple salsa, which is a recipe I also strongly recommend.) Grade: A--
