Bouke (Long Island) 2007*

A crisp, unoaked white blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurtztramminer. On the attack, you get some grassiness and spice, but on the finish you get soft, round stone fruits. I like it. Good summer drink with light seafood or as an apertif. Grade: B/B+

Was that Bourke or Bouke? If it’s the latter, did you receive that as a sample, as many of us did? If so, would you consider revealing the fact that you’re reviewing a sample, as many of us do?

Dale: Thanks for catching the typo. Yes, this was a media sample. It is my policy to star the reviews that are media samples. (See also here) In this instance, however, I just forgot.
